This day is not only to honor our Veterans and fallen heroes of the North Shore, but to honor all those that have served, are serving, and those we have lost. We would like to encourage anyone willing to join us - anywhere on our route - to cheer us on or just run some miles. As always, we will still be splitting the day up into two parts, ending with a 5k run through Glen Cove and visiting the Veteran memorials through the town.
Part 1 will start in Bayville and travel through much of the North Shore in Nassau County. We will be stopping at Veteran memorials throughout our journey to place flowers and wreaths. We will end at VFW Post 347 in Glen Cove.
Part 2 will be a 5K (3.1 miles). We will start at VFW Post 347. This course will take us to Veteran memorials at the Glen Cove Library, Morgan Memorial Park, and Memorial Park on School and Brewster Streets, finishing back at VFW Post 347 in Glen Cove.
