About the Mission:
This veteran honorably served his country from 1965 to 1968, during which time he was overseas for a year and a half. He served in Vietnam as a member of the 82nd Airborne and according to his family, he was extremely proud of that. He attained the rank of Sergeant, being awarded Parachute Badge, Lt Weapons Infantryman Badge, Combat Infantrymans Badge, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/1960 Device.
After his service, he went on to work in the airline industry, first with Pan Am, and then with Delta, for a total of 41 years.
The family has requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor him for his service.

After a dignified transfer, escort will leave at 10:30 for Our Lady of Grace Church, 666 Albin Ave., W. Babylon, for an 11am mass. There will be a dignified transfer after mass, departing to the cemetery at 12 noon.
