PGRNY Current Missions

This veteran served honorably in the US Navy from June 1967 to June 1971. He was schooled in Photography and was assigned to the Heavy Photographic Squadron 61. He served a period of his enlistment in sea/overseas duty. He attained the rank of PH3 being awarded Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon and National Defense Service Medal.

He went on to work for the Olympus Coroporation and was involved in development of medical cameras. He was appointed to the NY State Veterans Commission and served in the American Legion in leadership positions. The family has requested the Patriot Guard to stand and honor him. LW,as he was known, was a PGR Region 9 Ride Captain for many years, so this is our way to honor him as one of our own.

This is the second day of our honoring our Ride Captain LW Murphy. We will stand for the arrival of his wife, family, and friends at about 09:15am at the church.  Please have flags for flag line and if you have bike flags, display them. Mass is at 9:45am and after dignified transfer, escort will be to Calverton. LEO will be present.
