About the Mission:
This member of the "Greatest Generation" was born in Germany, came to America, became a citizen and joined the US Army where he honorably served this country from April 1943 to January 1946. He was assigned to the 295th Military Police Company being deployed to England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. He participated in battles of Rhineland and Northern France. He attained the rank of sergeant being awarded a Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and WWII Victory Medal.
After his service, he worked for Grumman Aerospace Corp. until he was 65 years old and retired. He had three children, nine Grandchildren, and nine Great Grandchildren, having been married 75 years.
On November 30th 2024 Patriot Guard Riders had the honor of participating in his 100th birthday party, and the family now requests us to stand and honor his service.
