About the Mission:
This veteran, at the age of 17 years old, was able to enlist on August 10,1949 serving honorably until December 10, 1952. He served in Korea as a Rifleman with Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. Rifleman are trained in primary scouting, assault, close combat and numerous weapons. During his time in Korea he was wounded twice at Wia Chin Dong-Myon, on May 1st 1952, and August 13,1952. He attained the rank of PFC, being awarded Purple Heart Medal and Gold Star Medal in Lieu of 2nd Purple Heart award, Korean Service Medal w/2 stars and United Nations Service Medal.
After his service, he went to college and then worked on Wall Street for 40 years. This veteran is in a video that was produced by the Marines about time in Korea. Click here to view the video online.
