About the Mission:
The family of Technical Sergeant George J. Habernig, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders to participate in the Military Honors funeral for this WWII veteran. Mr Habernig passed on December 18th at the age of 105 years. George served 3 years, 9 months with 1 year, 8 months of Foreign Service in the 77th Signal Company, 77th Infantry Division, 8th Army during the Eastern Mandates Ryukyus Campaign. His MOS was (405) Company Clerk. He was discharged December 11, 1945. Mr Habernig received these decorations and citations: American Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Philippines Liberation Ribbon, World War II Victory Medal. He was qualified for the M1 Carbine.

Special Information:
We will stand a flag line for the dignified transfer in preparation for the funeral procession to St. Joseph Church in Kingston for the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Following Mass, we will stand for the dignified transfer, then escort Mr. Habernig and his family to St. Thomas of Canterbury Cemetery in Cornwall for Military Honors.
