Wreath Laying Ceremony

About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders' participation has been requested by the Capitol District Elks in the annual Wreath Laying Ceremony.

The State Capital District Veterans Service Chairperson will conduct a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Saratoga County Veterans Memorial during their Elks State President visit to their District. All participants will gather at the entrance to the Memorial Walkway at 10:45 a.m. The Patriot Guard Riders were requested to form a flag line along the Memorial Walkway and on either side of the Memorial during the Ceremony. Elks Lodge members who are veterans will proceed to the Memorial site behind their respective Branch of Service Flags, as well as a Gold Star Mother, bagpipers & Taps bugler. The Program includes Opening/Closing prayers, Pledge of Allegiance, introductions/speeches, musical selections, reading of poem, playing of Taps.
