About the Mission:

The family of Ben Ellsworth Sharp has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Ben, 77, passed on Thursday, 26 June 2025.

Not much detail is known of Ben's life or military service at this time, but we do know that he was a 1966 graduate of Burnt Hills - Ballston Lake High School. He enlisted in the US Navy on 28 July of that year and was trained as a Steelworker with the Seabees. While assigned to Mobile Construction Battalion Six, Ben was sent to Vietnam in September of 1967. During his service, he held the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class, and was honorably discharged on 12 July 1968.

Ben's wife, Esther predeceased him. They will be interred together during this mission.
