United States Army

Round Top, NY - 05/21/2025

Mission applies to the following Region(s):

Region 4, Region 5

About the Mission:

Representatives of Tunnels to Towers Foundation have invited Patriot Guard Riders to participate in the Home Dedication Ceremony for United States Army Specialist Michael Gaynor III on Wednesday, 21 May 2025 in Round Top, NY

In 2008, while serving with the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, Second Infantry Division, Michael was deployed to Iraq. Early on during his deployment, he was involved in a humvee rollover where he sustained a severed spine, broken ribs, collapsed lungs, ruptured spleen, concussion, and a broken shoulder. His recovery was long and grueling and continues to this day where he remains in outpatient care.  You can read Michael's complete biography by clicking here

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation builds mortgage-free smart homes for the most catastrophically injured veterans and first responders. Smart homes host a myriad of features such as automated doors and lighting, wider halls and doorways, special showers to accommodate wheelchairs, automatic door openers, cabinets, counters, and stove tops that can be raised and lowered, as well as back-up generators, and central heating and air conditioning systems that can be controlled by tablets. These homes help the most severely injured veterans and first responders to reclaim their day-to-day independence.  You can learn more about these programs on the Tunnels To Towers website by clicking here

The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to be able to support this most worthwhile endeavor by standing in honor of Mr. Gaynor's service and sacrifice to our nation.
