About the Mission:
The family of Theodora M. (Mattos) Kelly has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in her military honors funeral services. Theodora, known affectionately as Teddy or Dora to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, in Schenectady, NY.
Dora attended South Boston High School, graduated from Cathedral High in Boston in 1969 and went on to earn her bachelors degree from Regis College. She entered United States Army active duty during August of 1973, and served as a Food Management Officer (MOS 82000) and Material Services Management Officer (MOS 92000). She served on active duty for 8 years and 3 months, including a 2 year tour of duty in Germany, and was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain (O-3) during November of 1981. For her service, she was awarded; the Army Commendation Medal w/1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Humanitarian Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon and an Overseas Service Ribbon.
After her military service, Dora embarked on a career as a Medical Laboratory Technician. She worked diligently at Tufts University Medical Center, St. Clare's, Ellis Hospital, and eventually retired from St. Mary's Hospital in Amsterdam.

Special Information:
Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am, followed by a dignified transfer and escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for interment with military honors.
