About the Mission:
The family of Robert P. "Murphy" Anderson has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Robert, 80, died peacefully at home with his loving family at his side on Tuesday, May 21, 2025.
Born in Troy, NY on August 24, 1944, Robert was a lifelong resident of Lansingburgh and a graduate of Lansingburgh High School. He went on to serve in the United States Air Force, enlisting on 24 July 1962. He was trained as a Photographer (AFSC R23430) and spent just under 4 years on active duty, including 11 months assigned to the USAF Security Service in Peshawar, Pakistan. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Airman 2nd Class on 22 July 1966 and for his service, was awarded a USAF Good Conduct Medal.
He was later employed at Grand Union for over 30 years and was well known as your friendly pizza delivery guy from Jimmy’s Pizzeria for over 20 years.

Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. Funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 am, followed by an escort to Saint Joseph's Cemetery, 40 Middletown Rd., Waterford, NY for interment with military honors.
