About the Mission:
The family of Robert James Serotta has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Robert, 78, passed on 29 May 2025.
Born in Glens Falls, Bob enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, on 23 November 1965. He was trained as a Disbursement Clerk (MOS 73C20) and sent to the William O’Darby Kaserne barracks in Furth, Germany. There, while assigned to the 573rd Personnel Services Company, he completed a 2 year tour of duty. After his tour in Germany, he was stationed in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he was honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist 5th Class on 22 November 1968. For his service, He was awarded a National Defense Service Medal.
After his military service, Bob worked for General Motors Acceptance Corporation as a finance manager before moving on to Overton, Russel and Dorr, and NYS Dormitory Authority until his retirement.
