About the Mission:
The family of Richard J. (Dick) Sullivan has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. Richard, 81, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Born on April 8, 1944, in Glens Falls, NY, Dick graduated with the St. Mary’s Academy class of 1962, left his job at Grand Union and enlisted in the US Air Force on August 13, 1962. During his years of service, he was part of the 44th Missile Squadron within the Strategic Air Command, serving as a member of a (3) man target and alignment crew on the Department of Defense missile system. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Airman 2nd Class on August 12, 1966, and for his service, was awarded; Air Force Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal.
Following his military career, Richard started his career with AT&T in Rosendale, NY. His 36 ½ year career spanned from 1966-2003 and he held title as Secretary/Treasurer of CWA Local 1127 from 1989 to 2000. He later started his second career of 10 years as the marine engineer for the Lake George Steamboat Company on the Mohican.

We will stage a flag line for dignified transfer and arrival of family and friends. After services, we will stand a flag line for dignified transfer and then escort to St. Joseph's Cemetery in Fort Edward for military honors.
