About the Mission:
The family of Peter John William Curtis has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Peter, 64, passed on Friday, August 29, 2025, at his home in Ballston Lake.
A proud 1980 graduate of Shenendehowa High School, Peter entered the US Army National Guard on 9 December 1983. He was trained as a Power Generator Equipment Repairman (MOS 52D20) and went on to serve for 25 years and 9 months in the NY Army National Guard. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant on 5 October 2009 and for his service, was awarded; Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/Silver Hourglass, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Medal w/2 stars, International Defense Service Medal w/2 Campaign Stars, New York State Military Commendation Medal and the New York State Long and Faithful Service Medal - 5 awards.
