About the Mission:
The family of Peter H. Schrader has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Peter passed away on April 11, 2025, at the age of 79.
Born in Schenectady, NY, Peter was raised in the hamlet of West Glenville, graduating from Scotia-Glenville High School. After high school, Peter started college, but left early to enlist in the US Navy on 02 July 1968. He was assigned to NMCB 74 (Navy Mobile Construction Battery "Seabees") or "Fearless 74". He completed two years of active duty as a Heavy Equipment Operator, including a tour of duty in Vietnam during 1968-1969. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class (E-4) on 10 July 1970, and for his service was awarded; a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device and an Expert Rifleman Medal.
After receiving an honorable discharge from the Navy, Peter founded Peter H. Schrader and Company, a small historic home renovations company. The company became a nationally acclaimed and award-winning enterprise that has left a lasting impact.

Staging at the church with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 1:00 pm, followed by interment with military honors at West Glenville Cemetery, adjacent to the church.
