About the Mission:
The family of Joseph W. Ashe has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Joseph, 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 7, 2025 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Born in Glens Falls, NY, Joe graduated from the Hudson Falls Central School, Class of 1962. He entered active duty in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, on 23 November 1966 and was trained as a Chemical Equipment Inspector (MOS 54D40. He spent 1 year and 11 1/2 months on active duty, including a 5 month tour of duty assigned to 528th Heavy Equipment Maintenance Company, near Da Nang, South Vietnam. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant (E-5) on 7 November 1968, and for his service, was awarded; a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/1960 Device, an Expert Badge - Rifle (M-16) and 1 Overseas Service Bar.
After his military service, Joe returned home where he continued his employment as a Laboratory Supervisor at Glens Falls Cement. He retired in 2003 after 40 years of dedicated service.

Special Information:
Members will stand a flag line for the arrival of family and friends during visitation, until 12:00 pm. Following the services, we will conduct a dignified transfer followed by an escort to Pine View Cemetery, Quaker Rd., Queensbury, NY.
