About the Mission:

The family of Joseph Kenneth Linsley has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Joseph, 77, passed on Monday, February 2, 2026.

Born in Schenectady, NY, Joseph was a 1967 graduate of Albany High School. He enlisted in the US Army Reserve during the Vietnam War, and was trained as a Lineman (MOS 36CE0). He served a total of 1 year and 7 months, including almost 6 months of active duty assigned to Company "E", 3rd Battalion, Signal Training Brigade, 3rd Army, at Fort Gordon, Georgia. He was honorably discharged on 6 February 1972 at the rank of Private First Class (E-3), and for his service, was awarded an Expert Badge - Rifle.

Joseph was a longtime pipe insulator for Local 40 Heat and Frost Union. He was most recently employed at the Crowne Plaza-The Desmond Hotel, in Albany.

Special Information:

Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the last hour of Visitation, 4:00 - 5:00 pm. Military honors and funeral service scheduled for 5:00 pm at which time, a PGR plaque will be presented. Interment will take place at a later date, at the family's convenience.
