About the Mission:
The family of Joseph Elmer "Joe" Michaud has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Joseph, of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, at Glens Falls Hospital after a short illness at the age of 97.
Born in Waterville, Maine, Joseph graduated as a basketball star from Waterville High School in 1946. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on 30 September 1948 and was trained as an Aircraft Mechanic (Specialty 6441). He was honored to have served his country during the Korean War aboard the aircraft carriers USS Coral Sea and the USS Oriskany. He was honorably discharged on 15 August 1952 at the rank of Sergeant.
After his military service, Joseph began working for Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, Connecticut in the manufacturing of aircraft engines. In 1962, Joe moved to Hudson Falls and in 1966 he became the proud owner of The Old Homestead Bar & Restaurant, Inc. until his retirement at the age of 90.

NOTE: Please park across the street in the Village Park. Staging at the church with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 am for both Joe and his wife who predeceased him. Services may be extended. Following services, members will escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for interment with military honors.
