About the Mission:

The family of James P. Miller has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. James, 85, passed peacefully on March 29th, 2025.

Born December 3rd, 1939, Jim was a proud life-long resident of Albany. He served on active duty in the US Army from 12 July 1963 to 9 July 1965 as a Construction Machine Operator (MOS 626.10). He completed his inactive reserve obligation on 11 July 1969, and was honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4). For his service, he was awarded an Expert Badge - Rifle (M-14).

After serving in the US Army, he became a member of the Operating Engineers Union Local 106, and retired from the Albany Water Department with the only crane license in the city.

Special Information:

Staging at the church with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:30 am, followed by escort to and interment with military honors at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1389 Central Ave., Albany, NY.
