About the Mission:
The family of Gordon F. "Gordy" McWhorter has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Gordon, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 17, 2025 at the Glens Falls Hospital.
Born November 28, 1938 in Argyle, NY, Gordon graduated from Argyle Central School. He entered active duty in the United States Army on 20 November 1961, and was trained as a Supply Clerk (MOS 760.00). He served a total of 2 years on active duty, including time assigned to 2nd Battalion, 44th Artillery, Fourth Army. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Private First Class (E-3) on 19 November 1963, and for his service, was awarded a Marksman Badge (Carbine. He completed his inactive reserve obligation on 19 November 1967.
Gordon was employed by Miller’s Livestock for many years and also worked in the Highway Department for the Town of Greenwich until his retirement.
