About the Mission:

The family of Frederick T. Munk has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Frederick, 98, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in South Carolina, on December 10, 2024.

Born on June 12, 1926, in Queens, New York, Fred was drafted into the United States Navy at the end of World War II.  He served his country with honor at Pearl Harbor before being honorably discharged at the rank of Seaman First Class on the 26th of July, 1946.

His return to civilian life led to a long and fulfilling career with New York Telephone Company as an installer/repairman.

Special Information:

Funeral services are expected to begin by 12:00 pm.  Please stage a flag line when you arrive. There is also a Yellow Ribbon Day event at about the same time, but Honor Missions are our primary mission, and always take precedence.  Please stand and honor this "Greatest Generation" hero.
