About the Mission:
The family of Earl W. Brownell has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Earl passed recently at the age of 84.
No obituary is available for Earl at this time, so not much is known of his life and military service. We do know that he served in the United States Army, entering active duty during the Vietnam War on 10 February 1967. He was trained as a Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic (MOS 63B20) and spent 1 year and 11 months on active duty, including 1 year and 6 months with Company "C", 71st Maintenance Battalion, in Germany. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist 5th Class on 22 January 1969 and for his service, was awarded a National Defense Service Medal and Marksman Badge - Rifle (M-14).
