About the Mission:

The family of Daniel M Sipowicz has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services.  Daniel, 67, of Argyle, passed away abruptly at his home on January 15, 2025.

Born on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 1957, Dan graduated from Hudson Falls High School and BOCES where he learned to cook. Immediately following high school, on 24 June 1975, he entered the United States Navy.  He was trained as a Mess Attendant Specialist and served honorably for 4 years.  His time included 3 years and 5 months aboard the USS Dale (CG 19), a Leahy-class cruiser, in the Mediterranean.  He was honorably discharged on 23 June 1979 with a rating of Mess Attendant Specialist 3 and a rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class. 

Following his honorable discharge, Dan worked in many trades. He was a cook at the Woodshed, James River Papermill, S & S Construction, Meads Nursery, owning a bread route in Vermont, Universal Blastco, and Newport News Shipbuilding in Saratoga from which he retired in 2023.
