The family of Brian J. McCabe has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Brian, 78, died Tuesday, January 20, 2026, just a few days shy of his 79th birthday.
Born January 25, 1947 in Jersey City, NJ, Brian grew up in Avon by the Sea, NJ and attended Ramapo High School. He received his Bachelor’s degree at Siena College and was called to active duty from the US Army Reserve during the Vietnam War, on 1 September 1968. He completed his inactive reserve obligation on 1 June 1974 and for his service, was awarded a National Defense Service Medal.

Brian was a Professor in the Human Services Department at Hudson Valley Community College for nearly 40 years.
