About the Mission:

The family of Howard Charles Lake has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Howard, age 85, passed on 28 December 2025 at his longtime residence in Guilford, New York.

Howard attended Windsor Central School prior to enlisting in the United States Army during the Cold War Era, on 14 January 1958. He was trained as an Oxygen-Acetylene Production Specialist (MOS 571.10) and served on active duty for 3 years, including a one year tour of duty in South Korea. He was honorably discharged from active duty on 13 January 1961, at the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4). He completed his inactive reserve obligation on 13 January 1964 and for his service, was awarded a Good Conduct Medal.

After his service, Howard worked for many years at Raymonds, Amphenol, and Chenango Welding.  He later spent much of his life driving tractor-trailers, traveling across much of the United States.

Special Information:

Staging at the church with a flag line during Visitation hours of 09:00 - 11:00 am. Plaque will be presented near the end of Visitation, which will be followed by 11:00 am church services. Interment will take place in the Spring at the family's convenience. Our mission will complete after the plaque presentation.
