About the Mission:

The family of US Army Veteran Eugene G. Godios has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Godios passed on 2 February 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

At the age of 23, Mr. Godios entered the Army on 18 March 1959, serving his nation as Personnel Specialist (MOS-716.10) with the Adjutant General Corps. He served 23 months active duty including 18 months Foreign Service. At the Rank of SP-4 (T), he was honorably discharged as early separation returnee 24 February 1961, with reserve obligations completed 17 March 1965. For his service, Mr. Godios was awarded, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and was eligible to receive a Cold War Era Commemorative Medal.

Special Information:

PGR will stand a flag line for the dignified transfer and arriving family and guests. Military honors will be conducted at church after Mass of Christian Burial. After reading of the plaque, PGR will stand by for dignified transfer. There is no cemetery or escort. Thank you for standing for Mr. Godios and his loving family. There is another mission in Hamburg, NY later in the same day.
