About the Mission:
This Honor Mission is for an unclaimed veteran, Stephen L Kennard. Mr. Kennard served for over 5 years active duty in the US Army, including more than 2 years overseas duty. During his service, he earned the rank of Sergeant and was awarded the following: Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and Marksman Badge (Rifle). Sgt Kennard was a graduate from the Primary Noncommissioned Officer Course.
Mr. Kennard passed away on February 27, 2022 at Ira Davenport Hospital in Bath, NY. His cremains have been in the custody of the Hospital Administrator. No family has claimed his remains and it has devolved to us, PGR, to serve as his family and escort his remains to Bath National Cemetery for interment.

Special Information:
The Hospital Administrator, Elizabeth Weir, will bring the urn out to us and will act as family (receive the flag). She will proceed with us to Bath National Cemetery, approximately 3 miles. .Because PGR will be Stephen's family, we will proceed up the hill, around to the interment shelter and form our flag line in the usual place. Anyone not participating in the procession from the hospital, please park up by the flag pole no later than 1:30 pm and form a flag line by the shelter for our arrival.
