About the Mission:
The family of Cold War and Korean War Era veteran Virginia R. Curry has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in honoring her life and service to our nation. Mrs. Curry passed away on 21 May 2025 at the age of 96 while in the care of the NYS Veterans Home in Batavia, NY.
Mrs. Curry received her RN degree in 1952, and entered the US Air Force as a 1st Lieutenant, serving 2 years stateside from 1952-1954 as a nurse. She received her Honorable Discharge on 2 October 1954 at MacDill Air Force Base, FL. Mrs. Curry earned the National Defense Service Medal and Cold War Service Commemorative Medal.

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for the arrival of family and friends. The Rite of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM. Following the service and dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to St. Francis Cemetery, 25 Exchange St, Le Roy, NY 14482 for interment with Military Honors.
