About the Mission:
The family of US Marine Corps veteran and retired NYS Trooper Thomas G. "TK" Kleinhans has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in honoring his life and service to our nation and our state. Mr. Kleinhans of Henrietta/Lakeville, NY passed away on 22 May 2025 at the age of 85.
Mr. Kleinhans was a Cold War Era veteran, serving from 1957-1959. Quoting from the KW Dougherty Funeral Home obituary: "TK attended McQuaid Jesuit High School as part of their first graduating class, ultimately graduating from West High in 1958. His life of service began after high school. He served his country when he joined the United States Marine Corps and has remained a proud Marine ever since. Semper Fi. His service continued when he became a New York State Trooper in 1962. He worked in several capacities for 26 years, retiring as an investigator with the BCI. After retirement, he worked as a Court Security Officer at the Federal Building and occasionally did private investigative work."

There is no escort or cemetery involved in this Mission.
PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of Mr. Kleinhans' family and friends. The Funeral Mass is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM, followed by military honors at the church. In addition to the US Marine Corps Honor Detail, NYS Police representatives will also participate.
Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American, USMC or NYS flag, and dress for the weather. Thank you for devoting your time to help honor the Marine Corps and Law Enforcement service of Thomas G. "TK" Kleinhans, and to support his loving and proud family.
