About the Mission:
The family of Ronald E. "Ron" Spayde has requested that PGR members participate in honoring his service and celebrating his life. Ron passed 15 February 2025 at the age of 80. He served in Vietnam with the US Air Force. Ron's Air Force Specialty was 702, Administrative Specialist, and he rose to the rank of Sergeant. Ron served three years and seven months on active duty, 1966-1969, with 12 of those months in Vietnam. Ron was honorably discharged from active duty 16 December 1969 and completed his reserve obligation on 1 May 1972.
Sergeant Spayde earned; Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/ 1 Bronze Service Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device and an Air Force Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon.

Special Information:
PGR members will form a flag line for the arrival of the family at the funeral home, which is expected between 2:15pm and 2:30pm. We will continue the flag line for arriving mourners until the beginning of services, expected at 3:00pm. Military honors will occur at the beginning of services and PGR members will participate. Following those honors, we will dismiss.
Please be prepared with a clean 3'x5' American or US Air Force flag. Dress for the weather as we will stand the flag line outside. Thank you for devoting your time to help honor the US Air Force service of Ronald E. "Ron" Spayde, and to support his loving family.
