About the Mission:
The family of Vietnam Veteran, First Responder Robert A. Skorupa has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his Military Honors funeral. Mr. Skorupa passed 1 November 2024 with his family at his side. Mr. Skorupa was born 18 Feb. 1947. He entered the Marine Corps on 20 August 1964 serving our nation 3yrs 11 months active duty with 1yr 10 months tour of duty in Vietnam. Honorably discharged on 2 August 1968 with reserve obligation ending 30 June 1970. For his service Mr. Skorupa was awarded; Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ 60 Device. After his service Mr. Skorupa served 35 yrs in the Cheektowaga, NY police dept. protecting his community.
