About the Mission:
Philip Roberts' family has requested that Patriot Guard Riders participate in honoring his military service and celebrating his life at his graveside services. Mr. Roberts served in the US Navy as a Surface Missile Fire Control Technician, achieving the rank of Petty Officer Second Class. He served six years active duty to our nation, 1976-1982. Of that time, three years, seven months were spent at sea aboard the USS John King, a Charles F. Adams Class Guided Missile Armed Destroyer. During his service he earned: US Navy Good Conduct Medal, and US Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

Special Information:
PGR Members will form a flag line at the cemetery for the arrival of Mr. Roberts' remains, expected at 11:15am. We will hold the flag line for the arrival of the family, expected at 11:30am, and continue the flag line until services begin at 12:00pm. During services, we will participate by rendering honors with the military honor guard. Following services we will perform a final salute which will end our participation.
There is no escort associated with this mission. Please dress for the weather, bring your own water, and be prepared with your clean US or Navy flag. Thank you for taking the time to honor Mr. Roberts' service to us all and to support his loving family.
