About the Mission:

The family of MSgt George P. Hinchman has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Sergeant Hinchman, age 92, died in Titusville, FL, on February 7, 2025. 

Born in Rochester, NY, George was a 1950 graduate of Gorham Central School.  He served two years in the U.S. Army Reserve in the field artillery. He continued his military career in the U.S. Navy and in the U.S. Air Force, providing weather forecast support for aviation, ballistic missile, naval, and ground peacetime and combat operations. During this time, he earned a B.S. at the University of Nebraska and a M.A. at the University of Oklahoma. George honorably served 22 years in the Armed Forces, retiring as a Master Sergeant. For his service, Sergeant Hinchman was awarded; US Air Force Good Conduct Medal w/1 Oak Leaf Cluster (2 awards), National Defense Service Medal w /1 Bronze Star (2 awards) and an Air Force Longevity Service Award w /2 Oak Leaf Clusters ( 3 awards ).

George later completed his civilian career at St. John Fisher College, in Rochester, NY, as the Director of Protective Services

Special Information:

PGR will stage at the funeral home for a 9:30 AM departure /short escort to the Gorham Cemetery where we will form a flag line for the dignified transfer. If you go directly to the Cemetery, see map link below. Please form a flag line at the gravesite for the arrival of the cortege.  Services are expected to begin at 10:00 AM and will include military honors.
