About the Mission:

The family of Cold War, Gulf War & GWOT veteran Kevin E. Noaker has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Noaker of Marion, NY passed away on 1 August 2025 at the age of 63 from complications of a motor vehicle accident in Amherst, NY.

Mr. Noaker served 9 years on active duty in the US Air Force from 1982-1990, including 5-1/2 years of foreign service. His Air Force Specialty was 60350-Vehicle Operator/Dispatcher. During this period of service, Mr. Noaker's duty included support of Operation Ghost Rider and Operation El Dorado Canyon (US bombing of Libya). He received his honorable discharge from active duty on 16 November 1990 with the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-5), following which he enlisted in the US Army Reserve. He was called to Army active duty on 10 February 2003 for 12 months of service, with an Army MOS of 62H20-Concrete/Asphalt Equipment Operator. During that period he served in support of Operation Enduring/Iraqi Freedom in Iraq and Kuwait. Mr. Noaker received his honorable discharge from active duty on 2 February 2004, reverting back to Army Reserve status. Mr. Noaker received his retirement from the US Army effective 21 December 2021 with the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-5.)

Additional information is pending regarding the awards earned during his career, but at the least Mr. Noaker earned the following: Army Commendation Medal; Air Force Commendation Medal; Army Achievement Medal; Air Force Outstanding Unit Award; Air Force Good Conduct Medal (2 Awards); Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal; National Defense Service Medal (2 Awards); Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/"M" device; Army Service Ribbon; Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon (2 Awards); Air Force Overseas Service Long Tour Ribbon; Air Force Training Ribbon; Air Force Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon-Rifle; and Air Force NCO Professional Military Education Graduate Ribbon.

This is a graveside service only, there is no escort involved in this Mission.  PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of Mr. Noaker and his family and friends. The burial service with military honors is scheduled for 1:00 PM.  Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American, US Air Force or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure you have enough liquids to stay hydrated.
