About the Mission:

The family of Vietnam War Veteran Karl Taltos has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Taltos passed on 10 September 2025 surrounded by his family.

Mr. Taltos entered the Army on 30 September 1968 and trained as a Medic (MOS 91B20). He served his nation for 2 years and 10 months on active duty, including a 13 month tour of duty in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged at Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington, on 28 August 1971. For his service to his nation, Mr. Taltos was awarded; Bronze Star Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/1960 Device, Combat Medic Badge, Parachute Badge and 3 Overseas Bars.
