About the Mission:
The staff of Western New York National Cemetery has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in unaccompanied Air Force Veteran Joseph P. Benedict, Sr. military honors interment services. Mr. Benedict passed on 29 August 2025.
Entering the Air Force on 28 March 1966, Mr. Benedicht served his nation with 4 years active duty trained as a Aircraft Mechanic. He was assigned to the 551st Special Operations Squadron at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. He was honorably discharged at Otis Air Force Base, Falmouth, Massachusetts on 24 September 1969. For his service Mr. Benedict was awarded; Air Force Good Conduct Medal and a National Defense Service Medal. Patriot Guard Riders will be Mr. Benedict's family for his honors and interment.
