About the Mission:

The family of Edward J. Zimmerman has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Zimmerman passed on 7 January 2026, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Zimmerman entered the US Army on 29 January 1971, and trained at Fort Polk, Louisiana as a Light Weapons Infantryman (MOS 11B20). He served his nation with 21 months of active duty, including a 10 month tour of duty in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged at Army Personnel Center, Oakland, California on 25 November 1972. For his service, he was awarded, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/1 Bronze Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ 1960 Device, One Overseas Bar and an Expert Rifleman Badge (M-16)

Members will stand a flag line during the last 2 hours of visitation. Military honors will be at 7pm. Thank you for standing for Mr. Zimmerman and his loving family.
