About the Mission:
The family of Earl A. Ruf has requested Patriot Guard Riders to participate in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Ruf passed 7 October 2025 at the age of 93.
Mr. Ruf entered the Marine Corps on 14 August 1950, and was sent to Camp Pendleton, California for Marine Corps basic training. He went on to San Diego, 29 Palms Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, to train as a Field Radio Operator (MC- 2531). Mr. Ruf served his nation for 23 months on active duty, including 6 months of Foreign/ Sea service. He was honorably discharged at 2nd Signal Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, Camp LeJeune, North Carolina on 1 March 1952, with reserve obligations concluding March 1957.

Members will stand a flag line for arriving family and Mr. Ruf. After a dignified transfer, military honors will be conducted. Do what you can to support Mr. Ruf and his loving family. Temps will be in the 50'S and make sure your flags are clean,
