About the Mission:
The family of Douglas Anthony Haywood has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Haywood passed on 4 October 2024 at the age of 77, with family at his side.
Born in White Plains, NY on 28 July 1947, Mr. Haywood served our nation for 14years in the US Army, including two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain at Ft. Monroe, Virginia, on 28 Oct. 1983. For his service to our nation, he was awarded a Bronze Star Medal w/V device, Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Stars, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device, Combat Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge and Ranger Tab.

Members will form flag line for arriving family and our hero. At 9:30 am we will process to WNYNC. Interment service is scheduled for10:00 am. Dress for the weather and bring water.
