About the Mission:

The family of US Navy Veteran Charles L. Andrews has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Andrews passed on 20 August 2025 surrounded by his family.

Mr. Andrews entered the US Navy during May of 1967, serving 20 years of dedicated service to his nation. He was trained in Advance Underseas MK 48 Weaponry (TM-0748) on the USS Gato (SSN 615).  The Gato was nicknamed "Goal Keeper", was a Thresher/ Permit class nuclear submarine, and was the first nuclear sub to pass thru the Panama Canal. Mr. Andrews was honorably discharged as Senior Chief Petty Officer on 30 June 1987 with; Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal (4 awards), National Defense Service Medal and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

Special Information:

PGR will stand flag line for arriving family and Mr. Andrews. After dignified transfer, military honors will be conducted. Thank you for standing for our veteran and his loving family. Bring water as none will be provided.
