About the Mission:

Arthur Joseph "Art" Pesoli, an American Hero, has passed away just four days shy of his 101st birthday. Arthur enlisted in the United States Navy on January 7,1943 and served for three years and three months on active duty. Gunners Mate Pesoli served in both the European Campaign and Pacific Campaign, and was awarded the following:  US Navy Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal.

Special Information:

Please bring a clean 3X5 American Flag or a US Navy Flag.  A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 am. The church is having major roof steeple refurbishing. The front entrance is closed. We will park and stage in the parking lot on the corner of State and Second Streets.  We will assemble the flag line at the side entrance to welcome family and friends.

Escort the hero from the church to his final resting place in Saint Mary's Cemetery, South Corning, NY 14830. We will be traveling approximately 3 miles at 30 mph. Please ensure that your flags are securely attached.
