About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders has been asked to stand a flag line for the beginning of the 2022 Run for Briggs 5k/Ruck/1 Mile Fun Run. This event raises money for the Dashan J. Briggs Memorial Foundation which uses the funds for veteran and military family needs. Technical Sergeant Dashan J. Briggs made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the 106th NYS Air National Guard [Westhampton Beach, New York] unit as a Special Missions Aviator. While deployed on March 15, 2018 Dashan was one of seven men killed when the HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter they were riding in crashed in western Iraq near the Syrian border.
It is our privilege to honor this event, which keeps the memory of one of Americas Heros' in the forefront of helping others.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Please bring your flags. The park is located across the street from Calverton National Cemetery. After the flag line, some may want to help with other duties of the event, if needed.
