About the Mission:

This first responder has served over 59 years with the Yaphank, NY Fire Department. He has no known family, so the Fire Department is his family. Chief Kiernan has requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor this man for his selfless devotion to his community.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

We will stand a flag line for the viewing which is from 9am to 10am. We will then stand for the dignified transfer to a Fire Department vehicle that will carry Mr. Rosenhagen to his final rest in Nassau County. Our participation will finish at that time. Please bring your flags to honor this dedicated individual.
