About the Mission:
This member of the "Greatest Generation" joined the US Navy at 19 years old. She became a US Navy Wave, which was the nursing unit of the Navy. She served honorably until her discharge as Hospital Apprentice 1st Class on July 25, 1945. She was in service under her maiden name of Olive Christensen becoming a Lazio when she married her husband Anthony. She devoted over 14,000 hours with the Good Samaritan Hospital Volunteers. Ms Lazio unfortunately passed on her 100th birthday. Patriot Guard Riders has been asked to stand and honor this hero of the Greatest Generation.
