About the Mission:
The family of Marcel A. Van Orden has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Marcel served in the United States Air Force as a Jet engine mechanic during the Vietnam War stationed in Thailand and Korea. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Outstanding Unit Medal. After being discharged, Marcel went on to work as a machinist for Huntington Brakes until his retirement.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

After a dignified transfer at the funeral home, we will escort past the family home in Mastic en-route to Calverton National Cemetery.
