About the Mission:

The family of Leonard Henderson has requested the Patriot Guard Riders' participation at his final military honors.

Leonard Henderson proudly served as a Merchant Marine during World War II. During his service he was awarded the Merchant Marine Emblem, Atlantic War Zone Bar, Pacific War Bar, and Combat Bar (with stars). After being discharged Leonard had many jobs, which ranged from doing odd jobs, tombstone maker, sanitation worker and ultimately was among the first members of the NYPD Housing police class. After serving with the Housing Police, he transferred to the NY Fire Department until his retirement in 1986.
Leonard was an athlete, body builder and avid boxer living to the age of 101.

Please help celebrate and honor this member of the greatest generation.
