About the Mission:
This veteran honorably served his country from 1953 to 1955. He had gone to Aviation High School in Manhattan prior to going into the service. Because of his training, he was sent to Turkey to train their military members on repairing aircraft and the maintenance of them. He attained a rank of SP3, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. After his service time, he worked for airlines, at Mitchell field on Air Force planes and went on to work for the FAA. The family stated he lived and breathed aircraft. They have requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor him.
