About the Mission:

Mr. James honorably served his country for 4 years, serving 3 years overseas, and a deployment to Vietnam. He was trained as a Morse Code Operator and attained a rank of Staff Sergeant. He was awarded a total of six medals, including an Air Force Good Conduct Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. He then served three years with the New York City Police Department and then moved to the Southampton Police Department, retiring as a Lieutenant. Mr. James then opened his own security Business. He also was a Fire Commissioner with the Flanders Fire Department. The family has requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor his services to this country. LEO is expected to be present.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

After a dignified transfer, the escort will proceed to Saint Johns RC Church, 546 Saint Johns Place, Riverhead for a 10 am mass. Members who wish may be at the church for the dignified transfer and mass, will then respond to Calverton.
