About the Mission:

Mr. Donley, member of the "Greatest Generation", served from November 1944 to July 1946 having completed recruit training in Sampson, New York and gunnery school in Newport, Rhode Island. He served aboard the USS Boxer (CV-21), as a baker. He attained the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class, being awarded the WW II Victory Medal, American Theater Medal, and Asiatic-Pacific Medal for service in the South Pacific.

After his service went on to work for CBS as an audio technician covering Super Bowls, Masters Golf, Daytona 500, Westchester Open, and US Open Tennis for 40 plus years until retirement. In 1992, he was called out of retirement to cover the 1992 Winter Olympics in France. The family has requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor this American Hero.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

We will stage at gas station at 11:10 with a KSU of 11:25 am to respond to home address of family that has cremains. We will then escort to L.I.N.C.

Second Stage - Special Information:

Stage in administration parking awaiting arrival of the escort. After paperwork, we will be assigned a chapel for service. Escort should arrive at 12:20 pm. Please have your flags. There will be a second mission at Pinelawn Memorial Cemetery, next door, at 2 pm.
