About the Mission:
This veteran honorably served this country during the Korean War from June 1951 to June 1955. His ship the USS Chevalier (DDR-805), was a radar picket destroyer tasked with helping to protect Task Force 77, whose carrier was launching raids against North Korea. He had attained a rank of Seaman. Information limited as only his discherge is available. He went on to become a NY City Firefighter until his retirement. The family has requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor him.
